
Ms. Shanshan Ai
A Chinese artist currently living in Tasmania, she graduated from the Mural Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University in 2003 and studied under many famous teachers.
She was a stamp designer of the State Post Bureau, and later worked as an art editor and reporter for Beijing Evening News in Beijing, accumulating 11 years of experience in illustration and graphic design in the news industry.
In 2015, she went to Australia for further studies and obtained a degree from the University of Tasmania. She then studied the relationship between tropical environment and human beings at James Cook University.Her works focus on color, emotion and the relationship between plants and humans, and she is good at canvas painting and mixed media murals.
Her works have been exhibited at the Salamanca Art Center, SOCIL Gallery, Packing Room Gallery, Moonah Art Center, The Cairns Institute and LUX Gallery in Queensland, and she has painted murals for the Kingston community in Tasmania and the famous Australian clothing brand Dangerfield.Her works and personal stories have been reported by the Mercury, ABC News, South China Morning Post (Hong Kong), Tasmanian Chinese News and other media.
