Being called Xiaocao(小草), Ding Weiran was borned in the autumn of 1988 in Nanjing China.

2006-2013, she studied ceramic art in the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University and got bachelor's and master's degrees.

Since 2015, she has worked and created in private art studio in Jingdezhen China.
